The GA Bello Foundation for Wellness
Equity. Access. Healing.
Standing in the gap for individuals and families through access to mental health care, basic needs support, and community-based wellness initiatives.
The GA Bello Foundation for Wellness exists to stand in the gap where systems fall short. We support individuals and families by removing barriers to mental and physical health care, addressing immediate basic needs, and providing practical, community-centered resources that promote stability, healing, and opportunity.
Our work includes culturally responsive mental health services with affordable, sliding-scale therapy options, ensuring care remains accessible while supporting long-term program sustainability. We also provide food and essential needs assistance through programs like Nourishing Hope, and expand educational access by providing laptops to high school students transitioning away from school-issued devices, helping them stay connected as they apply to college, careers, and postsecondary opportunities.
In addition, we invest in youth and community development through initiatives such as the Life Beyond High School Sports panel, which supports students and families in planning for life after athletics by offering guidance, mentorship, and exposure to educational and career pathways beyond the game.
Grounded in equity, dignity, and lived experience, our work is trauma-informed and family-centered. By filling critical gaps and strengthening community networks, the Foundation helps restore dignity, reduce disparities, and create sustainable pathways toward long-term wellness and success.
Our Approach — What We Do
When individuals and families come to the GA Bello Foundation for Wellness, they’re often dealing with more than one challenge at once. We step in during moments of transition, stress, or instability and provide short-term mental health support, care coordination, and practical help that meets real needs.
This may look like affordable therapy, help navigating services, food or essential resource support, or assistance during key life transitions—such as moving beyond school-based supports or planning for life after high school athletics. Our role is to help stabilize what’s urgent and connect people to what’s next.
Our Programs
Nourishing Hope
Nourishing Hope provides grocery gift card support to families experiencing food insecurity, helping them meet immediate nutritional needs and reduce stress around basic household stability during difficult periods.
See You Next Week
See You Next Week offers short-term, affordable therapy designed to provide timely mental health support and consistent follow-up during periods of emotional distress, transition, or increased need. Services are accessible and responsive, helping individuals stabilize and move forward with appropriate next steps.
Community Wellness Initiatives
Our Community Wellness Initiatives focus on education, outreach, and resource navigation that support individuals, families, and youth beyond crisis. These efforts include programs such as Life Beyond High School Sports, which help young people and their families plan for life after athletics by expanding access to information, mentorship, and opportunity.
